Course Description
Welcome to Wakefoiler Academy.
Wakefoiler Academy is a comprehensive online instructional course designed for user-friendly foiling progression behind the boat. The course utilizes Slingshot’s multi-mast Foiling Flight School system and with our Wake Foiler. We break the learning process down to the basics, and in 7 different chapters we cover the skills you will need to become a proficient foiler.
This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to foil in a safe and structured manner. We highly recommend learning with the 15" mast. You to start with a short mast and increase to the full size as your skills progress. After this course you will be handling and talking about your foil like a pro. There’s still a wealth of valuable information, tips and tricks to take away from each lesson.
Slingshot’s industry-leading riders and designers cover everything from basic foil behavior, design and hydrodynamics to getting up, riding, wake surfing and advanced transitions. As you follow along with the course, you’ll learn valuable skills, tips and tricks that you can apply directly to your in-water progression.
Foil Academy is organized into sequential lessons that allow you to progress at your own pace. As you advance through the course, keep in mind that it’s a work in progress. We value user feedback and encourage you to send us tips on how we can improve the course for the future.

Slingshot Wake Brand Manager + Professional Wakeboarder
Jeff McKee
Jeff McKee's 25 years of experience in wake sports include time as a World Champion wakeboarder and sponsored freerider with Slingshot (since the brand's wakeboarding debut in 2007) and his current position as Brand Manager for Slingshot Wake, since 2012. Jeff is a pioneer of freshwater foiling. He was our original Slingshot “test dummy” when it came to introducing foiling to the boat world back in 2017 and is now an admitted foil addict. Jeff has taken multiple laps around the globe evangelizing foiling and certifying new flyers with each and every session. When he’s not in the office, in front of the lens or coaching others, he’s out behind the wheel of his Nautique g23 finding new waves to ride or hunting for low lying docks to pump off of. We're thrilled to bring his wealth of knowledge and decades of experience to your fingertips as you learn to take flight.
